Clayette is a sulfur-free, non-hardening modeling clay designed for smooth handling and long working sessions. Odor-free and flexible without being sticky, it features an exceptionally silky surface texture that’s ideal for detailed sculpting and finishing work. Clayette is produced in a natural off-white color that makes forms and surface details easy to see.

One of Clayette’s standout qualities is its stability. It will not oxidize and can be left out, reheated, and cooled repeatedly without significant changes to performance—making it a dependable choice for studios, classrooms, and production environments.

Available in Soft, Medium, and Hard, Clayette allows artists to choose the firmness that best suits their working style.

Handling & Care

To achieve an ultra-smooth surface, small amounts of citrus-based solvents, lighter fluid, latex paint remover, turpentine, or mineral spirits may be used as a surface lubricant.

Wash hands with soap and water after use.
